Since its first publication in 1962, Gimson's Pronunciation of English has been widely acknowledged as the standard book of reference on all aspects of English pronunciation. This sixth edition comprises substantial revisions, with particular emphasis on those areas that have seen rapidexpansion or progression over the last five years.
